Makeup of the Day: bareMinerals- ReThink Beauty Kit

As you all may know, I purchased a new kit from Bare Escentuals via QVC about a week ago. It is their QVC exclusive set kit called Rethink Beauty. I tried on the makeup when I received them last Tuesday. May I say, it is awesome.

The look I have on today:

Face: New! Brightening Foundation Primer, Mineral Veil SPF25 & Medium Tan Foundation

Eyes: New! Brightening Eyelid Primer, Hyacinth e/s on inner third of lid, New! Lucky e/s on outer third of lid and lightly blended on crease, MAC Brulee e/s as brow highlight and dabbed lightly over Hyacinth e/s to tone down shimmer a bit, eyes lined with big & bright eyeliner in New!Ink

Flawless Definition Mascara in Black

Cheeks: New! Optimist Blush topped with Glee Radiance to highlight above cheek bones

Lips: Kanani Buxom

I really love this new kit. I will post a detailed review and pictures of the item sometime this weekend.

Updates and Upcoming Posts: June

Hi Everyone!
So I promise to write in my blog at least 3 times a week- so far, FAIL! It's just been hectic busy at work that I have no energy to write at all. However, I have some updates regarding products that I have purchased.

This week beginning June 17th thru June 20th,Bare Escentuals is having their annual Friends and Family Sale where you receive a 20% discount on purchases made online & in-store. Please see my previous posts for the coupon.

This may not seem like a lot. I'm trying to control myself with the spending! I will definitely posts a review of the items plus pics! So stay tune!!! I may also check out the boutique this weekend and pick up some glosses....Review & Pics to follow!

Last Saturday, June 12th, Bare Escentuals was also on QVC (check your local channel or QVC.com)and they have new items out for sale. Some of which are not available for sale until 2011. There are certain products or kits that are exclusive to QVC and no where else so I had to take part in the purchase. Their TSV or Today's Special Value is a kit called Rethink Beauty Collection. The collection includes new items which I'm very excited to try so I won't post what they are here just yet. Also, I purchased their Purifying Cleanser under their Rare Minerals line- this product is so new that it's not even available in a much nicer packaging. Again, I will post pictures as soon as I receive the items.

I also pre-ordered some MAC items from their upcoming collection coming out on July 15th called Digi-Pop! It's a collection exclusive to Nordstrom which includes new Dazzleglasses as well as some repromotes, new Dazzleglass lipsticks, brush roll and now MAC counters are offering the Pro-Pallette and a few eyeshadow collection. So, if you can't go near a MAC store or Pro store, this is a perfect opportunity to grab a palette and eyecolors for your collection. I will post pictures of the products as soon as I pick them up next month.

I have some Ulta hauls as well as some new nail polishes that I need to do a review on so stay tuned.....

All in all, lots to do so keep checking back for more info and beauty items!

Beauty Faves.....

Here are my beauty favorites in the last 3 months! I know I'm so bad for not doing it monthly. Sometimes it's just not possible to because I use the exact same things every month. Nail Polish: To The Beach in Scorcher

This is a swatch of the Nail lacquer from MAC's To The Beach Collection. It's a gorgeous color. I have it on my toes as well. It goes with all skintones in my opinion. Top the polish with a glossy topcoat and it shines bright- sooo pretty! I have so many reds and pinks and some corals but I can't get enough of them. One downside to this polish or maybe most of MAC's nail polishes is its opaqueness (is that a word?). I had to apply several coats in order to achieve the finish that I want. Overall, no regrets buying this one.

MAC To the Beach Collection

MAC came out with another great collection to kick start summer. MAC To the Beach launched on May 27th. Within the collection, there was one highly coveted item: Marine Life Hightlight Powder. Incredibly, but to no shock, the powder was sold out within hours after being posted on MAC's website. It was even sold out when I pre-ordered my stuff. I'm not too sad that I missed out on picking up Marine Life because it gave me reason to buy the #130 brush.

My favorites from this collection are definitely the Cream Bronzer (creamy when applied but it has a dry finish) and both brushes #130 & #131. I would recommend getting either of the brushes especially #130. It is now part of the permanent line so there is no rush to get it. The #131 is a limited edition brush. Both serve the same purpose- it's just your personal preference. If you're a collector of brushes, by all means get both. If you're on a budget but would really like to try either brushes, I say go for the #130 brush. Happy Shopping! To see the items I bought, check out my video below:
